Within the symmetry of it all

Within the symmetry of it all

A Poem by andrew mitchell

True love was
the figure eight
where lovers entwined
together in
the symmetry of love
for all eternity.

Realistically, love
was trying to
remain together,
finding time to love
after the spark
died down a little.

Pessimistic love -
it will never last.

Optimistic love -
hang in there be positive.

While Lust always had
a way of moving on.
It was a play
on the play
where the mind
was tempted
and the heart strings
got entangled
along the way.
