Fly away Peter come back Paul.

Fly away Peter come back Paul.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

An interview with a fly.

Please give a big hand for fly.
Oops!
Please give a warm welcome for another fly.
Hello Fly. How are you?
I’m all a buzz at the moment.
So let’s start. What do you do?
Well I like to hang around filth,
spreading disease, touching food,
touching people.
And where did you come from?
Oh! A maggot of course
then I pupated and
here I am. Nothing luxurious!
And apparently you have
an announcement to make.
Yes! I am reincarnated
believe it or not.
I see so how many times
have you died?
I have died a trillion times
since the dinosaurs.
I’ve been smacked, bludgeoned, whacked,
hit, stomped on, sprayed and squashed.
You name it! I’ve had it!
But I always come back.
Wow! How amazing!
To sum it up
it’s a simple case of
Fly away Peter
Fly away Paul
Come back Peter
Come back Paul.
I never ever really die.
Well fly that’s fascinating
so we’ll see you back soon.
I’m sure you will. Buzz you later.

Splat! See you Peter!
Just another fly on the wall.
Buzz! Bzzz! Bzzzz!

dear Andrew… Peter, Paul and Mary will always be missed. They have left a Christmas Kiss of Memories. As for the flies… we had a home Invasion of many flies for a few days ( must have come in through the Attic)… After many spraying day and night… they disappeared… I will never understand that Event. It can be a Scary World .. May your Christmas be Blessed with Candle light and Sweet Dreams. gently, Pat

Thank you Pete, just some wackiness to entertain anybody who flies by! Merry Xmas Pete.
Loved this little poem, and the conversation of the fly was so nice. Will look forward to your more writings!

This gave me a chuckle. Maybe because of the La Nina impact and all this rain we have had, the bloody flies are buzzing around with a vengeance I haven't seen in years. Even the white butterflies have been present in greater numbers. Your interview had me thinking of Louie the Fly and he stuck around for ages himself. And your title? I remember some song we used to sing in primary school with those lines about Peter and Paul....so long ago now the memory can't remember it all.

Your writing is always filled with wit and a perfect antidote to most writes of existential anxiety. Thanks for the evening chuckle today.
