The seasonal changes of true self

The seasonal changes of true self

A Poem by andrew mitchell

True self
a chameleon
 that changes
it’s colour
to suit the moment.
Excuse me! Where can I find true self?

You’ll find it over the rainbow
past sip’n’save then turn left
onto the path of righteousness
From there reverse park
into the cul de sac
of your inner self
where your horizon
of logical thinking
meets your sub consciousness.
Take the first dream
that comes to mind
and somewhere
 between then
and the alarm clock
going off you’ll
find the scrolls of true self
but remember reality
is on your tail.
