When school’s out

When school’s out

A Poem by andrew mitchell

I went to school…
to learn
nothing about life.
I appreciate that
I could read
and write
but I wasn’t
prepared for
the lessons in life.
Those results
I carry with me.

Life teaches us, God disciplines us, hope energizes us, nature inspires us, poetry enlivens us, friendship assures us, marriage binds us, love encompasses us, power corrupts us, wisdom enriches us, death separates us temporarily, knowledge sparks us, money serves us or master us, evil drags us, freedom liberates us, responsibility grounds us.
You inspired me sir Andrew to this.
