The relief from letting go

The relief from letting go

A Poem by andrew mitchell

I tripped over
a belief today
but I was lucky
I didn’t fall for it.
For others
it was quicksand!

I met an indigenous man -
a wise man.
I told him God
is all around us.
He replied. I know a good witch doctor.

I feel better now
we don’t talk about
mythology.

Came across the same belief
the other day
I walked right around it.
Wasn’t falling for that mouthtrap.

My beliefs have changed over time. I see many whose belief in something clashes with someone else's. I try to avoid that. In the overall scheme of things, I don't think some things that have the ability to be devisive are worth talking about.
