It’s a long way to the shop if you want a sausage roll

In the monastery of minds
the belief was
to carry as much burdens
as humanly possible
in the hope
that the weight
will be lessened.
Unfortunately, this
proved to be false
the weight was increased
and everyone shouted.
Boy! We’re going to
carry that weight
for a long time.
But as fate
would have it
the road undertaken
was only as long as
Abbey road
however this pilgrimage
didn’t make
any biblical sense -
it was all rock and roll.

malcolm passed away a few years ago in a nursing home with dementia. brian johnson has hearing loss and could no longer sing with the band and of course we all know what happened to bon ... :)
