Ghost tours of the mind

In a ghostly manner

the manor of thoughts

haunted by yesterday’s bystanders -

memories waiting for recall

gather in the gardens spread

amongst tombstones grey

witness white spectres falling

on the turning of a page.

(PS: I am not a proponent of Pound's politics; his genius of poetry, though, is unquestioned.)

Don't sell yourself short or overly rate me. I am you, and you are me. We write. We try to write better. We strive.

Pound, in my opinion, is the greatest resevoir of knowledge about poetry - also a very fine poet - but reading Pound is to me about learning what Pound had to say about poetry.

He had a lot of influence and edited T.S. Eliot's The Waste Land.

Really enjoyed the word play here Andrew. The ghosts of the long gone are certainly out today. 32 years since my Dad passed. I have to say though, they appear far from ghostly. Much more as I remember him.

Hi Chris , yes you are right they don’t appear ghostly but in more sepia tones. My dad died 13 years ago seems like an eternity and mum has never recovered.

Sorry to hear your mum has not recovered that is really sad. My mum married again three years after my Dad died and had a second marriage lasting another 25 years. She’s gone now as well. Harder when the second parent passes. Sort of end of an era.
