More poetry laws needed to stem the tide of violence

More poetry laws needed to stem the tide of violence

A Poem by andrew mitchell

In the news today
a poem was struck
by its owner
not a word was said.
Readers looked on
dismayed at the stanzas
been culled.
It was a blatant
hit and run.
The poem could not
be revived.
The grammar police working with
the federation of poetry works not finished
have little to go on
and are appealing to the public -
readers for any information,
all lines are open.
A UFO in the shape
of an eraser
was seen in the vicinity.
Approach the writer with caution-
could be armed with a pen
considered dangerous.
