We are what we are, go figure!

We are what we are, go figure!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

We are all born
atheists and naked
and along the way
we become
wrapped in beliefs
of shyness and self consciousness
to be left in a state of inhibitions
placed upon self
fully clothed and
discouraged from
going back to
our roots of being
naturally nude
and so all was lost.
But then a painter
with an artistic mind
for all things bare
decided to bring back
the nude in all its splendour
called the naked figure
much to our delights.

Society in general is rather grateful for the invention of clothing when it comes to my nude figure lol! I often pride myself in the ability to see beauty in everything but in my case I make an exception:/ however I agree it often takes the eyes of an artist to make us see what is plainly an integral part of our lives but gets obscured by societal norms:) well said old friend
