When man became hungry

When man became hungry

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Our whole existence
evolves around being
part of the food chain
but our own evolution
saw us control
that food chain
saving us from
being eaten.

Yes indeed, top of the food chain is king, though not by brawn, sharp claws or massive muscle, the brain of human beings is vastly more aware and advanced than our fellow animals, that said, pity ourselves as a successful species were more charitable to our fury, feathered, scaley and fishy friends who share our beautiful blue planet, after all, they were here long before the bipedal ape first roamed open prairies..

Creatively cognitive my friend!

In some places. We are not safe Andrew. Nice twist of words. Starvation could make us cannibals. Good morning from Michigan and thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
