The ink in the well

The ink in the well

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Within the ink
in the well
the evolution of all thoughts
spiral through
cascading years
while ever so close
the black hole lingers,
touched by memories
that twinkle day and night
a comet passing
brings recollection
breaking the moment
when time stands still
daydreaming
delivering a smile.

Like a well the soul holds that ink of memory with which we form our words from thought and feeling that have been melded together with the passing of time. An excellent read, Andrew!

Thank you Fred.
interesting to think that all thought and its myriad evolution is all in the little well of words. Beautiful thought. I wonder at the black hole is it that which draws me in and down into thought - and the comet that seems to interrupt a time of reverie. Enjoyed the manner of your write and the provoking of introspection. thanks for the post. makes me think. I like that. -carl
