A Poem by andrew mitchell

In the haunted
theatre of mind
moments seated
watch time on stage
pass by, before
the final curtain.
On standing
memories applaud
in remembrance-
a fitting tribute
where in the gardens
of tombstone greys
lies the epitaph-
the show must go on.

I like how you compare our lives to a show needing a ticket, actors, audience, hard and comfy seats, beginnings, ends.

You deserve it. You are welcome sir Andrew.
Appears to me that your words slide in and out of life as if make-believe coming true..Superbly yet subtly metaphoric truth.

Thank you very much Emma for your kind words.
Indeed it does...with or without us. An insightful piece of poetry my friend. As always I expect no less from your work.
