Slow cooker recipe

Slow cooker recipe

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Now that I have gained your full attention
this is not a slow
cooker recipe.
Neither are the lines
to die for.
I like to start
the story now.
I found Shakespeare
to be rather unorthodox
but it was a biography
unauthorised, and
his appearance
was not what I expected
but that’s an illustrated
Comic biography for you -
draw your own conclusions.
If only he was introduced
to the most intelligent
and influential dinosaur
there ever was
to roam the Earth -
Thesaurus
but that’s time for you.
Changing the subject
was he a fraudster?
I heard his plays
were all staged?
And now his famous line
he didn’t get to use.
“ Give me the words
and I’ll throw you a line.”

Hahaha love your comebacks Pete. Thanks for stopping by.
Excellent poem on Shakespeare. Now I think I want to learn old English and write something old. Keep it up

Thanks Arundass. More of a jibe at Shakespeare.
Lol...Very clever. I would like to know how all that went down as well. You managed to capture a fun and always curious truth in this one. Loved it. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
