The plight of a word

The plight of a word

A Poem by andrew mitchell

The word
stands tall,
proud to be
true to self
carrying its name
and or meaning
to the bitter end
never faltering
to its rival.
The plight of a word
has its own crusade
carrying responsibility.

Words have plights like humans; now that is an astute ideas.
I know some languages got extinct because they were only verbal and some were written but could not hold their weight under pressure.
Your poetry is holding up well.
