Blackberry fields forever

Blackberry fields forever

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Remember this!

When the verse
flys high above
and words descend
from the sky
upon your head
where the meaning now lies
scattered amongst
the leaves autumn red.
Fear not!

Fear not,

the beetroot skies brooding
or walking on dark coffee grounds
or the peanut butter taste
on your tongue.
It’s okay!
Just adjust your medication.

I must endeavor to adjust mine. (smile) I loved the "beetroot skies", very nice. Thought this might have been about berry picking. I used to pick my own and bake Black & Blue (half blackberry half blueberry) pies out of them. That's some good stuff with vanilla ice cream on top. Now I'm just hungry.

Blackberry jam homemade was just Devine when I grew up as a kid. Thank you Fabian for stopping by.
