What was never taught at school

What was never taught at school

A Poem by andrew mitchell

There are two
types of clothing
before lovemaking.
Those that are removed
neatly folded and placed,
and those that are ripped off,
torn, stretched, and thrown
never to be found in a hurry.

During lovemaking
one does not
recite poetry
one swears.

Finally, speak if you have to
but if you hear the words deeper
don’t lower your voice.

I wonder what kind of lovemaking would induce someone to recite poetry. I think once the poem was over that person would be lying alone.
