A passage from the passenger

A passage from the passenger

A Poem by andrew mitchell

I could never
drive the chord
because I could never
play the instrument
that drives the chord
but oh, the noise.
and so I listen
for the break
to switch off
only to remember
silence is golden.
a chord not played
is notably serene
- a passage of play
by the passenger.

You’ve captured the elegance of silence with poetic finesse. Subtle, yet deeply resonant.

Thank you very much for your generous words of praise.
I'm a music maker myself. I'm always looking for that right chord but only so far as it completes the song. Then there will be another song to play. I enjoyed the read.

Thanks Fabian.
maybe imagined chords are better than actual ones.
we can play them more freely.

Yes a bit like air guitars. Thanks for stopping by J.
