I feel like this is something I would ponder on quiet nights, with whiskey on the rocks. Before you know it, the sun is up. Haven't slept and just been sitting there all night, cradling an empty bottle of whiskey haha. Sigh, but alas, the morning comes and there's always a new day to look forward to.
Hi Andrew. How have you been? Hope all is well with you my friend.

I’ve been very busy this year with work commitments and my Mum has dementia, suffers from anxiety attacks and won’t go into 24/7 care home, stubborn as a mule, however will ring me up all the time leaving messages ranging from it’s urgent, fairly urgent, not as urgent and I need to talk to you messages. lol. So I suppose what I’m trying to say I’ve been too burnt out to even consider writing poetry of late. But nice to know I’ve been missed by you and Kelly on this site which has been difficult to access this year with problems too. Oh well! We soldier on! Hope you are well Roma.

I’m really sorry to hear how heavy this year has been for you. Caring for a parent is a marathon in itself, I can only imagine how exhausting it must be to juggle that with work and everything else. My father, in his last years, suffered from dementia. He wasn’t supposed to be driving, yet somehow he would take one of my brother’s cars just to come to my house...it is a miracle he somehow, still remembered the way. yet, when he saw me, he often didn’t know who I was and became very confused. He was also a very stubborn man. It’s heartbreaking. my heart truly goes out to you. Just focus on real life. Those are the things that really matter. The cafe can wait, and your poems are always a treat for me, my dear friend. You, Valentine, and Wordman were among the first writers who welcomed me to this site. I haven’t seen Wordman or Valentine post lately; I hope they’re alright. It’s always good to see you and read your poems. no worries..just take care of yourself.
