You compel me to write at the oddest of hours.

If I add a couple of coffee rings, a spray of my most expensive perfume, and put the word 'love' in

every phrase I've written, this would look like I scarped it off of the credits before the screen went black from one of the sappiest movies we've watched but couldn't seem to stop watching.

I very much connected with this. It feels as though the art of writing love letters and notes is growing out of fashion. How sad! There are so many romantics still left in the world that would ache to receive a love letter. Those final two lines are my favorites.

We do so cave into watching sappy movies because they touch us. This is a marvelous prose-style poem. Love it.
