I Know

Surprisingly happy (:

I'm smiling more now,

Not crying constantly anymore,

Truly feeling better, surprisingly,

And my heart isn't as sore.

 

Now, I actually feel happy,

Life is looking up again,

Loved ones by my side,

Now my new life may begin.

 

I'm still young, I know,

I have plenty of life in me,

People keep on saying that,

And I'm beginning to agree.

 

I can be happy and in love,

And I know I will be again,

Then I can have a love story,

Without a depressing end.

It sounds like someone is seeing the light after a relationship that was blocking the shine for to long. I'm glad to see that you are realizing that you are loved by many. Heartbreak is a blindinng object that can take hold of your life and turn it into something full of darkness, thankfully you didn't let it keep hold of who you are. this poem was just "okay" for me, there was no spark or overwhelming feeling of emotion, i think it was just on the surface--i think for a simple daily kind of poem or journal writing this works well for expressing the times in your life you want to look back and realize you were optimistic and didn't give up. in that aspect, well done.

A poem quite obviously about heartbreak yet you very cleverly never told us so. A great poem can be seen when the poem never tells us it's true meaning yet we figure it out because of those words. I have felt heartbreak myself, it is hard but you learn that you can always love again even if it falls through.

THIS is an Amanda we all find we Love!! Have there been any highlights over the past few weeks that have brought you out of emotions once lingering, and seemingly, not letting you go? family is certainly a test of wills and things when going through such personal highs and confusing lows. Sometimes, they try to assume and craft their advice into what seems scripted, so the fact that your friends and family have been by your side, and you are with a more beautiful outlook on things....... that is awesome!! The second they're done taking the picture, I burst out laughing..
