Hush, My Love

A poem to all the scared parts of my soul. Probably yours, too...

Hush,

My love.

Please be silent.

If you say a word,

They will find you.

So please,

My love,

Be quiet,

Even though the town,

Along with your childhood memories,

Is on fire.

Burning in the smoldering flames,

The flames of reality.

I know It can be hard,

My love,

But you have to stay strong.

The world has so much to give,

If you just look past the flames,

The storms,

The horrible fears and insanities.

In a few years,

My love,

You will no longer fear it.

You will accept it,

I know you will.

You know you will.

So, Hush,

My love.

Walk out into the world,

You can’t change the horrors,

Without facing them.

Facing the world.
