Withering RosesA Poem by Amanda J. S.What I compare roses to...Withering Roses Withering roses They look Antique Precious and Fragile In the end They crumple And drift away Drift away in the wind. But yet Some despise them They remind some of dead Dead love Because some compare love to roses And if roses die Wouldn’t it mean that love dies, too? But if you look at it this way: I compare roses to life Instead of love And I come to this conclusion: We wither Just like roses We come to look Antique Precious and Fragile In the end We crumple And drift away Drift away in the wind. And isn’t that what everybody wants? To slowly wither And When the time is right Drift away in the wind © 2012 Amanda J. S.Author's Note
