Slow Motion Fall

Time slows down…

But not enough to stop what’s coming.

So, what is the evolutionary point, if we can’t stop

The fall from happening?

 

Is it so we can replay our own stupidity

in  s l o w   m o t i o n

over and over

andoverandoverandover again?

At times I believe that is just the case. We revel in our own stupidity. Especially now a days where it is seen more as a virtue to be ignorant. We are locked eternally as 4 yr old kids who poke their fingers in the flame than cry only to do it again minutes later hoping for a different result. I really liked this piece. Very nicely done. Yes, we cannot stop it....our fall arrives, our leaves start turning...and in our winter we will fall.
And do we learn from our mistakes? Not enough.
I really like this piece, Amanda...especially the e.e. cummings flavored last line.
I went to school at Holy Spirit grade school in the Bronx back in the 50's....seems a lifetime ago.
