What if I was born into a world

From a pregnant mother who was smoking a cigarette on the corner

Next to a pimp, screaming at him not to touch her face again.

The pimp, nodding out but somehow still violent,

The couple, being denied a ride from two separate Uber drivers

Trying to get to the hospital

So I could be born.
