Frozen

Frozen

A Poem by Amanda Renee
"

free verse

"

She was frozen, not in space or time but in mind.

The thermometer outside struggled to reach eighteen degrees,

But inside it was much colder.

She sat, waiting for a cosmic shift,

Or an epigraph that would change her life,

(that she knew, would never arrive).

And she knew that she would never be a writer,

But she wrote.

This is full of depth and character.

I admire your creativity throughout this poem.

The embracing of strong feminine energy in this.

Delightful and clever read.

The pen is frozen in place along with the confidence needed to pick that pen back up and write.
Eveyone who writes has struggles from time to time...no exceptions.
The person who wrote this poem is definitely "a writer."

Thank you so much for your encouragement and words of wisdom, it means a lot!
Frozen indeed...

This is a short, yet thought-provoking write....
Kinda sums up the current season, combined with an emotional state of being "frozen"

But she wrote anyway..ending on a positive, hopeful note....:)
