Smiles

Smiles

A Poem by ambur

Smiles are only a part of his plan;

Your eyes are just a narrow path way.
Sing me a story, hum me a sweet tune.
I could build my life 'round your voice.
Take my hand, let's run away,
leave the train tracks behind our shadows.
With your mind, your voice, those eyes,
We could survive on beauty,
and never look back, again.

I really love this. The brevity works here. You write a very romantic relatable piece. Building lives around a voice...wow...I know that feeling. Very well written...one of my favorites from you.
