a thought or two inside of me

I want to bury myself

inside your ache

and snuggle up next to

each and every pain ...

I want to kiss away those little lines

that settle between your brows

and smoothe out the edges

at the corners of your should be smile ...

I want to give you all of me

and take away the things 

that hurt you

if only for awhile ...

positive sentiments Lyn! a very vulnerable position tho. when loved ones hurt inside it is not an easy thing to discern what they need ... we come up with overused and trite sayings of condolence and alleged encouragement ...many times, says i, what is needed is to sit quietly with our friend ...to try to be with their pain inside as you say ... tho your poem is a lovers longing it has broader applications ... the repetition of "I want...." makes it somewhat about your speaker and not the one hurting .... but "inside your ache" expresses a beautiful humanity in the desire to be connected ... and to take away the pain of another ..not your strongest work, Lyn ... but beautiful in sentiment none-the-less ;)
