Self injury

I don't wear my scars
As decorations
I wear them to show
My tries
         And tribulations.
I don't wear my scars
As inspirations
I wear them to show
My cries
        And devastation.

I wear my scars with fear
But never hold to shame
They don't say I'm weak
They show I overcame.

This poem is pretty common among those who cut themselves because of strong emotions that cannot be bottled up anymore. Scars make a person know that there is one less problem he had encountered already. I have never cut myself but I know the feeling of having long-lived scars that cannot be naturally healed. You have displayed this in your poem. Good job!
