The Surrounding Everything

The Surrounding Everything

A Poem by an I adrift

Where's the captain?

He's not in that movie

You think so wrong

The shaking earth

And its vibrating people

One day we will kill it

One day we will lose it all

I'm more than that

I'm there

I'm here

I'm one

With myself

And the music

Where to begin?

There's no answer

No solution

But something will get to me

I'll snap out of this

Sleep that seems inescapable

This has to be a rule

I won't say nothing

Won't watch it happen all again

Not here

It's a march

A stretch

It's now

And always

Complaining gets you nowhere

Only further away

From the love you are missing

I got it

It's time, a new place

My friends still close at heart

An end to a fall

But it doesn't meet at the ground

I float instead

Don't get me started on the floating

But it steals me away

An endless but almost limited escape sometimes

How deep did I bury myself this time?
