An Untitled Recollection

An Untitled Recollection

A Poem by an I adrift

I'm writing some gold here

Selling my soul here or there

Continuing on

And closing in

I couldn't say what happened

Time crawled through my veins and into nothing

Though someone was always tearing the page

When all they really wanted to do was just turn the page

At the moment I can't fight it

Where's this place?

I'm just following

All sound soon grows stale

Yet I finally feel something

Time returned and was rebuilt

The walls reformed

And the people met

Walked the landscapes in my head

An endless scene

Of crooked lines

And shapes you can read

Close my eyes

But couldn't sleep

Finally stood up

The ground disappeared and the anchor was released

The last one always gets to me but not like this

The music ends

And I continue on

To continue wondering
