Little Girl

She can never run away

Little girl only Ten years old She's getting oh so cold
She wraps the blanket around her shoulders tight
The yelling just won't stop , mama screams as daddy hits the wall
A tear slips down this little girls heart , another fight
Mama is crying as daddy yells and slams her into the door
This little girl can't take all this violence anymore
So little girl runs out of her room , and screams "No daddy no"

ten years later , little girl gets beaten by her boyfriend
he rises taller then her , casting a shadow down on her
and she crys , when he yells and kick and punches her around
she just found out what she saved her mama from
if only someone would save her , if only she could stand up for herself
she prays to the lord , driving her ford to the grocery store
maybe someone will ask her whats wrong , save her from her boyfriend
save her from all this

Ten years later , shes living in her dream house
life has gotten worse , her boyfriend got arrested ten years ago
a little girl asked whats wrong , and told her father
The man called the police and were on there way
im married to that little girls father , but we are not in love
the little girl ounce saved my life but she cant save it now
because im trapped in the basement , bleeding from inside , out
My husband wants to kill me, crazy spins in his pupils
