Orchidina (a dream)A Story by StarrbittThis was an actual dream of mine...frightening right? And it felt so REAL.
"You HAVE TO OBEY ME!!!YOUR WORTHLESS!!!!" The man shouted. He held a bat in his hand , and he had it raised but at the moment , he was only kicking me in my sides , bruising badly. My heart was racing. I couldn,t hold my eyes open for more then three seconds. I kept closing them when he yelled , afraid the bat was going to smash into my leg any second now.
"OBEY ORCHIDINA OBEY!!!" He yelled again , shoving his foot hard into my rib cage. I silently cried as I layed in a pile of dirt. Every kick I got , I took it , not resisting anything. I was confused though. Why was this man being so cruel to me? I couldn't remember. I got lost in my thoughts , not paying any attention to the pain untill I heard a crack. Pain filled inside my skull , red flashed before my eyes. Then black was all I saw. *************************************** I came back to the world a day later. Some how I knew that I blacked out for an exact 24 hours. It was like I was use to all of that horrorifying pain and blacking out. My head had a terrible pulse , but still , I made myself get out of bed to examine myself in the mirror. I took a double take. I wasn't in the mirror. My face , eyes , nose , mouth. None of it. I wasn't there but this stunning women , african american , stood there , gasping at herself. She is me? I shrugged , my legs moving down the stairs for the first aid kit. My head was bleeding badly , crimson running down my face , to fall off my brows like rain. After stitching myself up , I prepared the mans favorite dinner , moving quickly. I jumped at each creak behind me , afraid the man was back early , demanding his dinner right then and there. Then he came home , two hours later. "Did you make dinner right this time?" He snapped , putting a hand on my shoulder from behind. I shrunk a little at his brutal touch. "I hope so."I whispered. "What was that , did you just talk back to me? Are you disobeying? If so , yesterday won't be a faraway memory!" © 2012 Starrbitt |
