about the nature of Man

They say that you should never show sympathy for a devil....
I know, that they are probably right,
But I also know that
there is a little devil
in every man
and woman,
On Earth.

It really shouldn't be needed.. Mankind, should be enough. But, I felt it wasn't clear enough.

Very true, and in the Christian faith too, people have complete free will; to be good or bad. Although, genuine repentance is also part of the deal; for Christians in hope of seeking salvation.

I'm not Christian myself, despite years of such influence in my upbringing; and have considered myself as agnostic for many years. No doubt, as an atheist though; I would have been bad more often.

Over the decades, one lives and learns.

As you said, there is a little devil in all of us. But, there is a scale; of course lol. People can be naughty, in so many different ways. And, does not have to be pure evil; at the extreme end. Nor, do I buy the idea which some left-wing people try to sell; that everyone is a potential serial-killer. And, hardly any people; turn into brutal dictators like Stalin or Hitler. In the every day world of most people, being naughty or bad; can actually be good fun for adults. And, shouldn't really be deemed wrong; in some contexts.
