Burning Pain/heart

Deep inside I feel the hurt

Like a stone that’s heating

Like a heart that’s burning

I can’t explain

Why so much pain

My mind is blinded

I feel like losing breath

I need all this to be fixed

What in the world could heal?

Why so much pain

I am trying hard to find a clue

I am getting deep inside

Digging through the depth's of my mind

Trying to just define

The reason to my hurt

Maybe it is just me

Or maybe…

 it is for you.

When it comes to poetry; I'm not a fan of ABAB rhyme schemes, and I think it makes this a better work for not having one. The work causes me to remember a time when my own writing was that dark and, while we all have a different source for the pain; if this work is as personal as it seems I hope you find yours.
