How could you just look me straight in the eyes

and say all these words

Didn’t you realize my love

that I was the one?

Or maybe I was so blind

by this love of mine

That in the end I was the one

To fool myself

 

How can someone you trust

 be the one who hurts

Was I just some kind of jerk?

You wanted, you had and you throw away!

How can it be that way?

How can you be this way?

 

How can the one

I love be the one

Who breaks my heart?

Tearing it apart

Leaving just an empty         space

Once I saw love in your face

Now its only hatred…

 

To me you were more than some pretty face

It may sound absurd

But even I have the right to dream

I was just crazy or was it all a lie

I am done…I guess it has to be goodbye.

This is awesome and I've felt the same myself in the past. I'm sure many readers could make the same connection. If you want to be ambitious, I could suggest using some stronger verbs and some comparative images. For example, maybe you could use ripping instead of tearing on the fourth line in the third paragraph. I don't know, that's all just me though. Great Job.
