You get me

The heart has no control. Do you get me?

Two hearts, two souls.
Different people, separate goals.
A life together, a life destroyed.
Confusing thoughts, just annoyed.

Both are loved, in different ways.
Yet my heart, with me plays.
Can't be together, can't stay away.
Happy to see them, everyday.

Conflicting emotions, a crazy mind.
Knowing I have one, another to find.
Torturous love, never to be.
I ask my heart, Do u get me?.

Opposite do attract. People going in different directions find solid ground if lucky. I believe better to be different. Two of the same fall into a sameness and become bore. I like the conflicts leading to solid ending. Thank you Angie for sharing the excellent poetry.
