Will you release me??

You lit my life.
Even in my darkest hours.

You lifted me up when I had no strength to get back up.
Your words were the calming whispers my soul needed.

A simple touch from your hands held glory within.
And you worked magic on this broken heart.

Your eyes holding a hidden world where i wanted to get lost in.
Your body, a mysterious potion that brought my body alive.

And with a simple kiss you broke down all the barriers I had built.
You gave me an eternity I wasn't afraid to live in.

Now my eternity has become a torment.
I want to run from it but you cuffed me here and took the key.
Where can I escape? If in everything and anything I see is you.

You gave me this eternity and now I ask you release me.
You can't keep me here forever, can you?

wow very powerful love has no reason nor rhyme it can uplift, cause supreme happiness and superior joy yet on the other hand, when it leaves it stays in your heart and as you said your are ''' Cuffed'' ' heart felt poem love can cause so much pain as well as fierce joy

I like the way this msg starts in a seductive way, as if plunging into a pool of pleasure . . . as I was reading, I was thinking that I would not be the type to be "cuffed" to any person, but trying to understand the type of person who would be . . . and then your poem turns a corner where I'm suddenly reading what I had been thinking, about how such a "tight connection" to another can be less than a good thing sometimes.
