Hope renewed

A calming dawn awaits me.
A new beginning brings hope.
Wishes to come true.
The past to the past. A fresh start.
Giddiness building up, for new adventures await.
Courage to take a step forward. Leaving fear behind.
Faith held in a heart that now dares to love again.
Maybe waiting for this moment was worth the pain left behind.
A toast to the New Year which promises to be far better than the last.
Bringing with it the realization that I had what I needed but didn't see it.
The strength to get up and live each day knowing it might be my last, but living it to its fullest nonetheless.
Thanking the Lord up above for all the blessings.
Knowing in this moment....
