dark approaches in aggressive manner

determined to find its rightful place

amongst the last remnants of previous light

once again into yesterday

fading pastels surrender softly 

ritualized silence given way

 symphonic pleading songs of survival

 

pinpoint reflections soon fill an unseen sky

constant changing of the guard

making known it's commanding presence

upon the eastern edge one can sense 

a hint whispered softly marking change

of the approaching newest dawn 

marking complete the cycle 

of today into tomorrow into today 

once again into yesterday
