my yard signs were born from grief

nra defended it's stance on 

bigger badder shineier assault like rifles

i took my stand 

parkland high gave us

more dead school children

my words were few

a simple opinion

a message of war

NRA SEZ OK

TO

KILL KIDS

i had made my stand

public knowledge

tempers flared

threats of violence

threats of arrest soon followed

i had declared war on MAGA 

on RACISM

on TRUMP

on FASCISM

several became 10s

10s became 100s

100s became my cause

1000s became 

hope for change

todays sign 

is the worst message

in almost 7 years

this sign will live until

i decide otherwise

we have become

chronically ignorant

rather than informed

the kool aid flows freely

flags wave 

everyone is a fukin hero 

not

we have cheapened our lives

we have witnessed the

best we will ever be

democracy has been 

hung out to dry

todays sign

is the worst

fight for freedom
