broken promises

broken promises

A Poem by keith
"

broken dreams

"
broken promises
broken dreams

you spoke
they listened
you spoke at them
they bought it
hook line and sinker

you said follow me
what have you got
to lose
only on day one
look at my african-american

the 70s were my vietnam
make america
great again
hats for $49
t shirts for your soul

i am what
you thought you wanted
not what i am
i lied
i will do it again

now dance to
my siren song
you poor wretched
racist white trash
insurrectionists

i will break
the economy
i will break
my promises
such fools you are

reciprocity
retribution
how many times
have you practiced
saying those words

you are a sniveling
little hand dik
your word
ain't s**t ain't shinola
goddamn you

broken promises
broken dreams

It’s almost impressive how this group keeps supplying fresh material for ridicule. Keep beating the drum my friend!
