Among the stars

It's a day filled with snow,

very dreamy, all rinsed in white glow.

A lazy day, nothing interesting today,

but I want to pen my mind away. 

the sky dusked, and the night on its way,

it's the close of another day,

yet there is lots to say.

I can feel the wind on my cheeks,

music notes and life beats,

thoughts meeting at my streets,

dancing away in those evening greets,

they tell me, count to three,

make a wish and see.

Tonight, be among the stars,

savour and collect memoirs,

remember to shine bright,

and hold this thought tight.

This poem reminds me to capture those special moments during each season. That writing down these moments makes it everlasting.

The first time I appreciated snow was in Canada. I was visiting family and she lived on the 7th floor apartment. It started to snow and I kid you not it was as if time had stopped!! Like the sky fell into the ground. The lights were shining in everyone home and the street lights glowed. The first time in a while that inspired me to start writing again!! This poem captures those moments I had. Reading your poems is such a joy!! Thanks AH.

Tomorrow is the first day of spring and I still feel this way. Sometimes I love some thoughts and those moments and thoughts where the brain wants to stop and stay in that moment. It feels like that thought will never go away. I think the brain goes out of control when I'm happy and for some reason this poem made me think of that.

Yeah, almost end of winter here too. Spring will arrive soon now and I can't wait to see the flowers :) But, yes snow and winter was beautiful. This poem was like some thoughts on an evening when it snowed and I wanted to stay in that moment and freeze that forever. the poem happened :) Thanks for reading and sharing what you thought.
