there's something about when it rains that I love. don't ask me what?
the sweet scent, the gloomy skies, the flowers and the butterflies, the rhythmic gush, the silent hush, the sounds of rain, the walk down the quiet lane.
the whirlpool of thoughts dance in the grass puddle, the trees and the breeze embrace in a peaceful cuddle. the raindrops collapse in my tiny footsteps, and the leaves bow down to show their last respects.
my heart desires to be the rain, to wash away all my pain, it wishes to sing with the nature, as it seeks to connect with the creator.
You right!! There is something beautiful about the rain. The rain is a wonderful excuse for me to cuddle up and read a book. This poem inspires me to continue to enjoy those raining days.
I loved "it wishes to sing with the nature, as it seeks to connect with the creator." Something about that line brings spiritual perspective to nature🤗🤗🤗. Enjoyed the rhyming too!!!

Your piece is so intertwined with love and nature, specifically rain, which seems to cleanse painful thoughts…. Rain is a steady reminder that nature knows when we need her for our own happiness… lovely
Warmly

I like this A.H., I like the emotions you are expressing, but I really question whether the rhymes add to the effect. But a nice Piece certainly ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️

Thank you for the review, red93. Really appreciate your thoughts and feedback!
Your words relish the rain and what it carries within its gifts. Yes, gifts - the scent of it upon grass, the pearly glitter it adds to every trees' leaves, the invisibly visible veil it leaves over the all about and the glory of the best photograophs after its fallen. The rain is feeder of earth thus the feeder of Mankind and you have honoured it with yout superb poem.

Thank you emma, that's such a kind review. I really appreciate it!
I too love the rain, as a child i just used to stand in the pouring rain... it was somehow comforting like a little universe i was standing in all of my own. Strange you might think but the coolness acts as a sort of release, a distraction from anything else in the moment it kisses you.
Yes , i still enjoy it when everyone else is running from it 😃

The sweet scent, yes very true!
The feeling of letting go of the pain and thoughts as the rain drops drench us, then letting go, slowly drop by drop. It feels so real.
Great one!

Thank you Pallavi for sharing those thoughts. I really appreciate it!
This poem touched something deep in me. I have always loved the rain, not just for its beauty, but for the memories it carries. As a child, I would run through heavy downpours with my siblings and neighborhood kids, way out in the village where few people lived but many children played. We did not always visit each other; grown-ups' disagreements made those boundaries, but when it rained, those boundaries did not matter to us children. We come out with whatever and make joy out of splashing, floating on tin boards and plywood through mini floods.
Your piece captures that quiet magic, the scent, the hush, and the deep emotional echo that only rain can bring. Now, as an adult, the rain still calls me back. I can’t run around half-dressed like I used to, but sometimes I stand in it with my eyes closed and remember. My husband joins me; he didn’t grow up with that kind of rain-love, but when he jumps around grinning like a kid, I smile too.
Thank you for writing a poem that makes space for both memory and healing. It's gentle, spiritual, and vivid, and for those of us shaped by rainy days, it feels like coming home.

I love looking out the window during rainy days. Your ending has that emotional twist that shows the comparison between the washing away of pain and rain. I really like the cadence and smoothness of this.
Nice one, A. H.

Thank you Relic for your thoughtful reflection on this write. I really appreciate it!
you are the voice of nature! Your words are always so careful and beautiful, painting nature in the most beautiful colors like a child. That's why i call your poems aas safe place. Feels like meditation. I believe that being so connected to nature and understanding it so well has a truly spiritual side and cleanses one's heart and aura. Maybe I'm too naive, but it renews me. Living in a country that has 4 season is a luck for me. I love soft rains too. That's a great poem again. Please publish more pleaseeee... Your poems are under a monk's pillow! I just know it!
