I see your face

clouded in mist

casting a shadow upon your glistening figure

unseen

 

My mind is yours

only for you to read

openly sharing my fantasies

with you

 

Your voice is close

Yet I can not hear it

The one closest to me

I cannot find

 

Comforting in my deepest fears

a shield of white light surrounds me

your protective aura, so bright

so near

 

Everywhere you are

always there, by my side

so why can’t I find

my lovely butterfly?

 

No more

 

I wish to gaze upon my savior

hear his trickling voice

feel your warmth

within my failing heart

 

My wish ignored

deemed unprepared

I will wait for you

in our eternal blessing of  night
