Down the Rabbit HoleA Poem by AnnalisaWritten in May 2008.Her soft velvet laugh Wrapped around me like The sweetest chains, Binding me to her surely and softly, So softly in fact she doesn’t Know the trap she’s set for me.
Falling I grasp for something, Anything, To stop my free fall. Instead all I find is sea-glass-green eyes. Do I say something? Call out to the intangible Dark voice and shining eyes? Can I call out, When I know no help would be offered? That there isn’t any to give? Falling in love with Your best friend: Not unsimilar to Falling Down a rabbit whole, Offers no comfort, And no relief. Especially when she’s in love with someone else. © 2008 AnnalisaAuthor's Note
