How to Leave TownA Poem by Emmy
He said he knew how to leave town
better than anyone else. So I gave it a try to see how it felt. I spent a day on the harbor that I thought would be my last, but the ducks would haunt me. My thoughts were too fast. You spoke a song of submarines while I traced hearts on your arm. We fought the day before, this was once our norm.
