Love at First Sight

In honor of Valentine's Day I decided to write my first love poem. I hope you enjoy!

Heart races
Pulse quickens 
Knees shake

Forehead glistens

Eyes meet
It is oh so sweet
I can now hear my own heartbeat

"This one I must meet"
My mind demands
"But be discreet”
My brain commands

My stomach all in knots
I am starting to see spots 

As I draw near

Though not without fear

I think you captured that moment when you see someone you are instantly drawn to sooo well here. Your words flowed beautifully and I really enjoyed reading this. I'm always so wordy in my poetry that when I find someone with the knack for portraying so much in so few words I'm always blown away. I thought this poem was absolutely wonder. Even someone who hasn't been here yet would be able to experience it with how well you described it. :) Thanks for sharing!

Frozen, gut wrenching, fear of losing... all emotions also brain dead. Enslaved, chained to a bed it great. Pits of despair, heights, its a mess people die for.

To often poets think they need to be wordy or encryptic or worst of all they over think it and get so philosophical that their meaning gets lost. But this is a great example of purity and it is masterfully written as well. People should take note and learn poetry is story telling, but we tell it in a lot less words.
