For the Best

This poem is very short but has a very simple meaning, sometimes you just have to let go of some things.

The modern conception of being together

Has taken a turn for the worst

I no longer want to live with the lies

I no longer want to hurt you

Tears may be temporary

But the pain is still there

Sometimes I wonder how our relationship will progress in the distant future...

But what future?

All we have are the memories from the past

And now the present...
