A Poem by anxia

This is a piece i have written after a very long time.This, i have been feeling since forever but was able to write down today.I don't think my writing has done justice to my feelings yet....

A soulful melody playing from a distance,

the adopting skies, calm milieu;

roil my heart bringing a conflate of memories to life,

there's something beautiful, something haunting,something cathartic.

The troubled tides demur to hush,

a numinous sense that i pine for,

something rendering me breathless,

something unexpressable, something unexplainable,

a past into which i yearn to mire, out of which i wish to charge out,

pleasurable yet poignant.

A state where i ponder what all i have come to be,

what all i have done through those precious times

Of what i have come to be,

From a restless feel to numbness,

i enter in to the present,

live with it till such a gale visits me yet again.

I was once told, always urge for more even if you feel, you touched where you meant to! More like an Asian mentality! Do we really need to do it? Can't we just enjoy and stay happy with what we did! Phrases to teach few things during his childhood, may mislead a kid in his future steps!

Very strong imagery, a bit of melancholy too, but hope that "such a gale visits" again.

I love the word choice. The words flow into an image of the sadness that seems to rub off of this poem. :)

I like this. Your emotions really come out. The wondering and the anxiety. Nice work :)

That was my favourite part.
In the last stanza, third line down you said cometo instead of come to.
"A state when i ponder what all i have come to be," This line didn't really make sense to me. Hope I’ve been helpful. Thanks for sharing :)
