Anorexia Sea

Anorexia Sea

A Poem by Apathy To Empathy

You hate food.

It taste plain upon your tongue.

It makes you sick in the stomach,

Sick in the mind.

You claim to be fine,

Never asking for much.

You have too much on your plate

That they set too high for you.

Your hand can''t even reach the top.

You stretch until it hurts,

Then slump in your seat,

Telling them quietly,

gI don't want it.

I'm already full.

I ate earlier.”

They believe your lies,

Bare the pain,

And say that you have to eat one,

Just one bite.

So you do.

The plate falls on you.

You become lost

In a never ending sea of food.

Great poem. Great emotion and description.

So true. It is a sea of food when you're in that state. A horrible feeling.

Well written.
